Description/History:Snapshot taken at 7:00 am , looking west on St. Louis St. at the Trans-Continental Foot Race (or Bunion Derby) participants. This section of the race was from Springfield to Conway, MO. Stoplight in center of intersection with man leaning on it, possibly controlling it. Missouri US 66 sign attached to stoplight and an oval sign under it with number 16 on it. The stoplight may be a portable one brought in for the race on Route 66. Sign on Gillioz marquee says: "TONITE/THURMANS/ORCHESTRA". Numbers on back of picture 1-13/p8-273/CP8-272. Colonial Hotel on left of photo.
